Tekken 7 For Nintendo Switch Will Depend On Fan Demand

Tekken 7 For Nintendo Switch Will Depend On Fan Demand

Tekken 7 was initially released back in 2015. The game eventually made its way onto the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. However last year some were wondering about whether or not the game could eventually make its way onto the Nintendo Switch, in which the game’s director Katsuhiro Harada said that we shouldn’t expect it anytime soon.

For those wondering if Bandai Namco’s stance has changed a year later, unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the case. According to Harada, he claims that Tekken 7 arriving on the Nintendo Switch will largely be dependent on the demand for it, where gamers will have to let them know if they want the game ported onto Nintendo’s console, otherwise there is a good chance that nothing will happen.

Tekken X Street Fighter Is 30% Done, Still 'pending'

Tekken X Street Fighter Is 30% Done, Still 'Pending'

Back in 2010, Bandai Namco announced Tekken X Street Fighter, but fast forward to today, the game has yet to be launched. However over the years, Bandai Namco has reassured gamers that the game hadn’t been cancelled, and last we heard which was back in 2017, apparently they felt that it wasn’t the right time to launch it.

For those wondering about the status of the game, it seems that we might be in for a long wait because according to the game’s director, Katsuhiro Harada, it seems that the game is still very much in development. According to Harada, apparently the game is only 30%, and that it is still pending, whatever that means.

The Walking Dead's Negan Coming To Tekken 7

The Walking Dead's Negan Coming To Tekken 7

From time to time we see crossovers from movies to video games. For those who are fans of AMC's The Walking Dead (or the comics), you might be very interested to learn that The Walking Dead's most famous (and deadly) antagonist Negan will actually be smashing his way into Tekken 7.

This is part of Tekken 7's Season 2 pass in which along with Negan, both Anna Williams and Lei Wulong will also be added to the game. It should be noted that both Anna Williams and Lei Wulong have debuted in previous Tekken titles in the past, so it's good to see that they will continue to make their appearances in the franchise.

Final Fantasy Xv's Noctis Will Be Playable In Tekken 7

Final Fantasy XV's Noctis Will Be Playable In Tekken 7

Seeing crossovers in movies, TV shows, anime, comics, and video games are always fun. This is because it is always interesting to see how character(s) might act in a completely different setting, and how their abilities/powers work in a different universe. For fans of Final Fantasy, that crossover is happening with Final Fantasy XV's Noctis and Tekken 7.

Bandai Namco has recently launched a trailer video in which Noctis will be a playable character in Tekken 7 in a DLC that is expected to be released in the Spring of 2018. According to the company, "Noctis Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy XV enters the TEKKEN 7 ring! Wielding his signature Engine Blade, Noctis is ready to deal heavy hard-hitting blows as he takes on the likes of Yoshimitsu, Devil Jin, Jack 7, and the rest of the TEKKEN 7 fighters when he enters the King of Iron Fist Tournament in spring 2018!"

Tekken 7 Out Today, Harada Talks History, Future of Fighting Games

I've played every single Tekken game — all of them, even Death By Degrees — going all the way back to the original PlayStation game. So with Tekken 7 launching today on PS4, it only seemed appropriate to reach out to Katsuhiro Harada, Tekken's longstanding game director, to reflect on where the series has been — and where the larger fighting-game genre is headed.

Tekken 7 Pc System Requirements Revealed

Tekken 7 PC System Requirements Revealed

Thinking about playing the upcoming Tekken 7 on your PC instead of consoles? If you are, then you might be interested to learn that based on the listing of the game on Steam's page, the system requirements have been revealed. From what we can tell, they don't look particularly demanding so unless you have a very, very old rig, you shouldn't really run into any problems.

Starting with the minimum system requirements, the game will require users to run at least Windows 7 64-bit on their computers. If you're running XP, we guess there's a good chance you probably won't be able to run the game with the rest of your hardware anyway. As for processor, gamers are required to have an Intel Core i3-4160 or better, 6GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or 750 Ti or better, 60GB of storage, and DirectX 11.

Still Not The Right Time To Launch Tekken X Street Fighter

Still Not The Right Time To Launch Tekken X Street Fighter

We have been hearing about Bandai Namco's Tekken X Street Fighter game for years, and by now many have probably assumed that it has been cancelled. Back in 2015, the developers assured that this was not the case, although in 2016 it was revealed that the game is no longer in active development.

This means that while it hasn't been cancelled outright, it isn't actively being worked on either. For those wondering about the status of the game, the game's director Katsuhiro Harada revealed the reasons why they still have not gone ahead and launched it, and it basically is all about the timing.

Rage-quitting is a terrible practice that needs to stop, but unfortunately frustration can sometimes get the better of us and sometimes just turning off the computer and quitting the game seems like the best thing to do in the moment. However it can ruin the experience for other games, and this is something Bandai Namco wants to avoid.

Tekken 7's Roger The Kangaroo Removed Over Animal Activists Concerns

Tekken 7's Roger The Kangaroo Removed Over Animal Activists Concerns

Bandai Namco's Tekken franchise is an interesting one. While other arcade games might have more traditional characters, Tekken actually introduced some interesting and quirky characters such as bears, pandas, a man made from wood, and so on. They also introduced a character named Roger Jr., which is a kangaroo that boxes.

Unfortunately it seems that the character will no longer make the final game in Tekken 7. In an interview with VG247, the game's producer Katsuhiro Harada, it seems that there are concerns that animal activists would complain about the character, which is why they made the decision to take it out of the game.

Don't Expect Tekken 7 To Come To The Switch Anytime Soon

Don't Expect Tekken 7 To Come To The Switch Anytime Soon

Tekken 7, or at least the non-arcade version of the game, will be released in June where it will find its way onto the PC, Xbox One, and PS4. However with the Nintendo Switch having been officially announced, we're sure many are wondering if the game could eventually find its way onto the console as well.

If you were hoping for a Tekken 7 port for the Switch, you might be disappointed to learn that will not be happening just yet, or ever. Speaking to GameSpot in an interview, Tekken's producer Katsuhiro Harada revealed that they haven't even had time to get to study the hardware of the console simply because they haven't been able to get their hands on it.
