The Meteorological Agency says Jebi was at sea about 190 kilometers southeast of Tanegashima Island as of 1 AM on Tuesday. It was moving north at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour.

Japan's Meteorological Agency says the strong typhoon Soulik is moving north off Japan's Ogasawara Islands, and could approach Kyushu and other areas in western Japan by next Tuesday.

Soulik is the 19th tropical cyclone to develop in the northwest Pacific Ocean this year. The slow moving storm was 350 kilometers southwest of Chichi-jima in the island group as of 9 AM Saturday.
