Navigation Satellite Reaches Target
Japan's first navigation satellite has arrived on station more than 20,000 miles over Asia to improve positioning coverage in mountainous terrain and urban centers.The Michibiki satellite entered its quasi-zenith orbit early Monday, Japanese time, the country's space agency announced. The orbit stretches from a low point of 20,268 miles to a high point of 24,202 miles.
Hair Washing Robot
A hair-washing robot designed to wash and dry hair using 16 robotic fingers and two motorised arms is to be unveiled in Japan.The Japanese robot, created by scientists at Panasonic Corporation, has been created to replicate the hands of a human hair stylist, and is designed to help with the care of the country's "silver generation".
Sharp Launches 2 Android Tablets
Japanese tech giant Sharp announced it would launch a 5.5-inch and a 10.8-inch tablet named Galapagos, as well as an electronic bookstore in December – but only in Japan .Both tablets will feature Wi-Fi communication and are Android-based; the smaller model will have a 1024 x 600 LCD screen, while the larger version will boast a 1366 x 800 pixel resolution.
Nintendo 3ds
Nintendo said a while back that it will announce the release date for the Nintendo 3DS on Sept. 29, which is this Wednesday.The German Bild Zeitung reported in their Sunday print edition that the 3DS would launch on November 11th in Japan.The Bild Zeitung has not yet published this report online.

World’s third largest economy Japan plans to pilot electronic textbooks in primary schools soon to improve the role of IT in classroom teaching, media reports said.Ten schools will offer all its students aged under 12 years tablet PCs and fit their classrooms with interactive electronic blackboards starting next month under the ‘Future School’ project.
