Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. has implemented connectivity between popular social media content "Professional Baseball Dream Nine"*1 (over 5 million registered users) and arcade baseball game "Baseball Heroes 2013" (below, BBH2013). This new gameplay style that expands beyond the bounds of either title is available now.
The new connectivity feature allows the unique player cards that users have trained as part of their "My Team" in "Professional Baseball Dream Nine" to appear in the realistic graphics of BBH2013*2. In addition to having a range of commands at their disposal for tactical control of each individual play, users can connect with players nationwide in real time, for standoffs as tense as those of the real pennant race. Furthermore, playing both titles rewards users with special in-game items for each.
This new gameplay style promises to provide users with two separate, yet integrated, ways to enjoy baseball through social media content and arcade machines.
Konami will continue to create and provide top-quality baseball content, to deliver ever more opportunities for customers to enjoy the thrills of baseball.
"Professional Baseball Dream Nine"
"Professional Baseball Dream Nine" is a card game that lets users collect and upgrade player cards to form their own unique dream team and go head-to-head against online rivals. The title features more than 3,000 player cards, including current and retired NPB players, managers, and even mascots.
Baseball Heroes Series
In the Baseball Heroes series of professional baseball arcade games, the user collects player cards and becomes a manager, giving out both batting and fielding directions to lead his or her team to victory. The game gives users the opportunity to experience the live, spontaneous thrills of real baseball as they face off against rival human managers nationwide.
