Nintendo of America has today revealed, via press release, Mario Kart 8 lifetime sales figures for its region, current as of June 2014. In June alone, the anti-gravity racer sold more than 470,000 combined physical and digital units, bringing the lifetime total sales to date to more than 885,000.
Compared to June 2013, hardware sales were up 233 percent, while software sales boomed to more than 373 percent. Compared to the first half of 2013, total Wii U hardware sales have increased by 48 percent, while Wii U software sales were boosted to an astonishing 129 percent from January to June 2014.
Mario Kart 8 lifetime sales in the Japanese region, as of June 2014, have broke the 500,000 marker for combined physical and digital units.
