The development team at Nintendo working on the Super Smash Bros. title is revealing a new stage that will be included in the video game, designed specifically to appeal to long-term fans of Mario as a character and the world designed around him.
Masashiro Sakurai, the game director working on the experience, writes on his official Miiverse feed that, “When Kamek casts a spell, the stage transforms drastically. This is not what you would call a moving stage.”
Two images taken from the Mushroom Kingdom U stage have been offered, showing very different environments, but it is not yet clear exactly how the conditions will influence the gameplay of Super Smash Bros.
Nintendo has already said that it will include a wide variety of stages in the coming title in order to make sure that all players find a battleground that they like and a solid character to use in combat.
Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U will be launched at some point in the winter of this year and it is one of the titles that should significantly boost sales of the home console.
