Olympus Pen Lite E - Pl1s


Olympus PEN Lite E-PL1s Olympus Japan announced a special Japan-only version of the company’s lowest priced Micro Four Thirds compact interchangeable lens cameras, the Olympus PEN Lite E-PL1s.

The main difference between the new E-PL1s and the existing E-PL1 , is the new M. ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 II kit lens, which is more compact and 25-percent lighter than the original .






There’s also a new M. ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40-150mm F4.0-5.6 lens as well.

The new lenses come with Olympus’ MSC (Movie & Still Compatible) designation and feature internal focus for faster and quieter autofocusing.

Additional tweaks to the camera itself include bumping the sensitivity range up to ISO6400, a newer Lithium-ion battery, and new white and red body color options.

Though the camera will only be available in Japan at least initially, the lenses will likely be available worldwide by end of year.
