Panasonic Factory Solutions Company of America's exhibit "Total Solutions Beyond SMT" drew crowds of attendees at IPC APEX 2016, the premier electronics manufacturing industry event held during March 13 - 17, 2016, in Las Vegas, NV.
In synch with IPC's "Forward Thinking" theme, Panasonic's large 2-story booth achieved many industry firsts, including (1) being the first to print and place 0250125 microchips at the show, (2) hosting the first live demo of Total Solutions integration within PanaCIM®, and (3) introducing three new software solutions for WIP, workforce monitoring, and simple AOI--all in conjunction with the company's and its best-in-class technology partners' equipment.
Panasonic's "Beyond SMT" strategy exemplified IoT-readiness by incorporating and integrating storage systems, stencil and PCB cleaning, conveyance, screen printing, SPI, placement, AOI, reflow, and more. "The continuous success and evolution of the Panasonic Factory Automation "Any Mix Any Volume" theme was apparent throughout the booth," remarked Faisal Pandit, President, Panasonic Factory Solutions Company of America. "Record-setting numbers of visitors, new accounts, and new opportunities reinforce that our strategy is aligned with what customers of all sizes want: integrated turnkey solutions that enable customers to focus on managing their business while we manage their production."
In addition to the Total Solution for "Any Mix Any Volume" demonstrations, Panasonic unveiled its brand new NPM-VF. The new machine, based on the award-winning NPM concept, is designed to provide superior flexibility and application versatility to automotive and other industrial users--in particular, industry segments faced with extreme odd-form or application challenges. The new platform incorporates many features of the NPM Series like tape feeders and nozzles. The NPM-VF is projected to achieve a high level of success in the marketplace, with several orders already in-hand.
As the exclusive Gold Sponsor of IPC APEX EXPO and a longstanding IPC member, Panasonic's booth also incorporated program generation, NPI, LED binning, labor-saving automation, applications support, pin through hole, odd-form, manual assembly, material management, and cleaning.
