Sharp Roku Powered Smart Tvs Coming Soon

Sharp Roku Powered Smart TVs Coming SoonSharp is the latest OEM that has agreed to enter into this partnership with Roku.
Sharp has confirmed that it will at least build two new HDTV sets in 42 inch and 50 inch sizes with full 1080p resolution based on Roku’s reference designs. Both models will be sold in the United States exclusively through Best Buy for close to $400 and $500 respectively.

Best Buy’s own TV brand, Insignia, is going to release two new TV sets as well that offer full 1080p HD resolution. Both will have LED-backlit displays and 60Hz refresh rates. 32 inch and 55 inch models will be available for $229 and $549 respectively, they’ll also be powered by Roku software.
Roku CEO Anthony Wood has already confirmed that 4K capable Roku TV sets are also coming later this year, though it’s unclear right now which OEM will produce them and precisely how much they’re going to cost to the end user.
