Sony Highlights Full Line of Professional 4K and Laser Projection Technologies at I/ITSEC 2015At I/ITSEC 2015, Sony is highlighting a full line of professional solutions for presentation and display, visualization, training and simulation, including its newest 4K projection products.
Sony’s SXRDTM 4K projector line offers the ultra high resolution, high brightness, enhanced contrast and smooth motion technology necessary to create realistic and effective simulation and training imagery.

“All aspects of professional presentation are expanding — from simulation and training to auditoriums and conferences — with more specialized applications and increasingly complex presentation requirements,” said Mark Bonifacio, director of Sony’s visual presentations solutions group. “Whether the application is content creation, simulation, or visual communication, projectors need to combine the right mix of performance, quality and efficiency needed by today’s A/V professionals.”

Sony’s newest 4K projectors include the VPL- GTZ280, a 2,000 lumen model designed for simulation, visualization and training. A flexible design allows integrators to add features if needed, including 3,000 lumens of extra brightness to deliver 5,000 lumens total, night vision goggle capability, 4K 120P to allow 4K 3D at 60P, and HDR gamma. This projector is designed to offer flexibility for any application or budget.

Sony’s 4K projector line also includes the lamp-based and smaller budget VPL-GT100 4K and VPL-GH10 2K models, plus the VPL-GTZ1 that combines 4K, laser light source and ultra-short throw capabilities and fits a range of commercial and defense applications.

Sony’s projector line also includes a range of 3LCD laser light source projectors, including the newest models in the VPL-FHZ series that offer cost-effective, high-brightness projection in non-critical training applications.

These models are joined by other models for fixed installation and larger venue applications, and a series of installation units with built-in HDBaseTTM interfaces for easier connectivity and reduced total system costs.

Sony’s Professional Solutions Americas group develops and manufactures video and audio technologies for a range of professional applications. These technologies are used by professionals in a range of market segments including houses of worship, government, healthcare, education, and hospitality, among others.
