As Sony’s Digital Paper continues to be adopted by the legal market as the better, more secure way to read and write, Sony is announcing a new subscription plan, exclusively available through Worldox. For a monthly subscription cost of $89 for one year, legal professionals have access to Worldox Web Mobile. After the initial one-year subscription period, the subscriber owns Digital Paper and continues to have access to all services for an ongoing monthly payment of $25.
Digital Paper is used by legal professionals for reading and annotating legal documents and as a “yellow pad replacement” for handwritten notes. Digital Paper is also compatible with Worldox Web (2.0), which provides browser-based mobile access to content stored on the Worldox document management service. Digital Paper is also now integrated with the Citrix ShareFile cloud storage and file sharing service. Together with these two services, legal professionals can retrieve and send documents wirelessly on Digital Paper, enabling a seamless transition between the office and a mobile location.
“With this convenient and affordable subscription plan we’ve made it easier for legal professionals to enjoy the benefits of Digital Paper while having anytime, anywhere access to the documents they need,” said Bob Nell, Director of Sony’s Digital Paper Solutions.
Worldox Web 2.0 provides browser and mobile device access to Worldox document management service and supports the Worldox GX4 Active Profiling technology.
“Our customer base is rapidly becoming more mobile,” said Ray Zwiefelhofer, President, World Software Corporation, “and this latest collaboration with Sony expands the Worldox Mobility offerings, allowing legal professionals to access, review and markup their work while on the go, using a form that is much like paper. An enormous advantage of this easy-to-use device is built-in, at-rest encryption. Professionals and their clients can now be assured that documents taken offsite are properly secured. And this is just a starting point as we continue to build the Worldox Mobility offering.”
ShareFile is a secure enterprise file sync and sharing service that meets the mobility, collaboration and data security needs of small business and enterprise users.
“ShareFile’s cloud storage capabilities allow professionals to send, receive and share documents across multiple devices,” said Bill O’Boyle, Senior Manager, Business Development, at Citrix. “This same capability is now readily available to Digital Paper subscribers and supports our goal to deliver optimized mobility solutions to legal professionals.”
The Digital Paper subscription is available now through Worldox. Go to www.worldox.com or call 201-444-3228 for more information and to sign up for the subscription plan.
