It appears that Sony Mobile may be looking to launch a successor to the Xperia C3, which had a 5MP front-facing camera and front-facing flash – the only Xperia device so far to sport one. A new phone has leaked that shows what looks like a mid-range device with large front-facing camera and front LED flash.
Within the settings the phone is dubbed the “Xperia Cosmos”, however since anyone can change the name of their Bluetooth device, we won’t read too much into this. The phone has a relatively small bezel and is running Android Lollipop. The Xperia C3 saw a very limited regional release, mainly targeted to the Asian markets.
Other features include a MediaTek MT6752 octa-core chipset. The handset is said to include FCC Type Number PM-0860-BV and is testing with 27.X firmware. We’ll bring you more details as we have it.
