Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has created the "my Murata" registration-only (membership) portal site for engineers and initiated provision of services in October 2013.
"my Murata" began accepting user registration from October 1, and services will start initially with the capacitor site (Japanese only) from mid-October. This will be expanded to cover relevant products and be provided in other languages at a later date.
Up until now we have provided a website containing information on products and suggestions for solutions to problems, etc., but providing only information that could be widely publicized was insufficient, so the provision of certain information, including fine details, was restricted to an individual basis via salesmen and engineers. In order to cater to the diverse business styles and requirements of customers, we have therefore expanded this into a membership web service to improve user convenience.
"my Murata" is a membership portal site containing conveniently accessed services and content provided by Murata via the Internet. In addition to a bulletin board on which it is possible to post discussions with other users on product features and specifications, as well as hints on selecting the right products, etc., registering as a user will also include the use of content restricted to members, such as details on the knowhow for avoiding mounting problems and documentation related to quality, etc. Premium content, such as the version of the SimSurfing design support tool with enhanced functions, will also be added in the future when and as it becomes available.
Registration is free of charge, and anybody with a corporate e-mail address may sign up*.
*Companies that handle rival products are not permitted to use services related to the products in question.
