Sony Mobile has formally announced that the Xperia XZ2 Premium will launch in Taiwan on 18 July 2018 for NT$ 28,990 Yuan (£719, €812, $955). The handset will be available in Chrome Black and Chrome Silver colours, and if you pre-order, Sony will include a free Sony SBH90C 2-way Style USB Audio & Bluetooth Headset.
Customers who place a NT$ 2,000 ($65) deposit will also get a 64GB microSD memory card for free. In addition, during August, owners will be able to claim a free Sony WCH20 Wireless Charging Dock through an online registration process.
Sony Mobile also confirmed that the Xperia XZ2 Premium is targeted to the technology enthusiasts sat at the "top of the pyramid", and that the device will be a limited-edition product. We already know the latter given that the Xperia XZ2 Premium is unlikely to be released in Europe.
Sony presented a number of slides highlighting the camera technology behind the Xperia XZ2 Premium. They refer to the benefits of the dual-camera lens, the AUBE Instant Image Fusion Processing Chip, and how it obtains higher sensitivity photos and videos. You can check the full set of slides below.
