There seems to be a trend lately with pristine Honda S2000s selling for increasingly high prices. First, there was the low-mileage CR, then there was the rare white-on red example, and now there is another low-mileage S2000, this one being a normal AP1 model.

However, where this one differs from the rest is in its selling history. Back in 2016, it had sold for around $29,388 with 900 miles on the odometer. And now, with a mere 50 miles extra on the odo and 5 more years on its back, it just sold for roughly $47,750 on Bring A Trailer this past month, netting its owner just over $18,000 in profit (obviously, not including any expenses).

It’s an extremely well-cared-for example that was never expected to be kept in such nice condition, and as a result, it has become a rarity. Aside from a new intake and exhaust, the car is respectably stock, which is what seems to be par for the course these low-mileage-big-money S2000s.

The roadster is finished in Silverstone Metallic, and features a black leather interior and black softtop, which complement the bright 5-spoke wheels nicely. It comes complete with all the manufacturer’s literature as well as the original intake for those who want it.

Under the hood is the stock 2.0L F20C inline-four engine with the addition of an aftermarket Comptech intake and exhaust. When new, that engine was good for 240 hp (243 PS / 179 kW) and 153 lb-ft (207 Nm) of torque, which was sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual and a limited-slip differential. There’s no word on whether the modifications increase those figures, but we’d imagine the gains would be minimal if any at all.
