You Can Now Play Some Android Games On Windows

When Microsoft announced Windows 11, one of the features that users could look forward to was being able to use Android apps on Windows via Amazon’s Appstore. However, if you don’t use Amazon’s Appstore but still want some Android access on your Windows PC, then you’re in luck, sort of.

This is because Google has announced that they are launching Google Play Games on Windows. This is a standalone application developed by Google that will let users play Android games on their Windows PCs. This would kind of be like Google’s response to Microsoft and Amazon working together to bring Android apps to Windows.

However, keep in mind that unlike Amazon’s Appstore, Google Play Games is pretty much exclusively games at the moment. We wouldn’t be surprised if Google eventually expanded on this to include other apps, but for now it is only for gaming. Also, take note that it is in beta at the moment where only users in Korea, Taiwan, or Hong Kong can sign up to take part in it.

The current selection of games is very limited at the moment, but like we said, it is in beta so we expect that eventually it should include more games and include more users, but it might be something that Android users on Windows PCs can look forward to in the future.
