Microsoft Promises To Keep Call Of Duty On The Playstation

Microsoft Promises To Keep Call Of Duty On The PlayStation

This is especially true for Call of Duty which is available on both Xbox and PlayStation. The good news is that Microsoft has stated that they plan to keep Call of Duty on the PlayStation.

According to Microsoft, “To be clear, Microsoft will continue to make Call of Duty and other popular Activision Blizzard titles available on PlayStation through the term of any existing agreement with Activision. And we have committed to Sony that we will also make them available on PlayStation beyond the existing agreement and into the future so that Sony fans can continue to enjoy the games they love.”

Recently, it was reported that at least three Call of Duty titles will come to the PlayStation. However, the report suggested that future titles were a bit hazy, suggesting that maybe Microsoft could eventually make them Xbox/PC exclusive.

However, this statement from Microsoft suggests that Call of Duty will continue to remain playable on the PlayStation for the foreseeable future, which is good news for PlayStation gamers. That being said, keep in mind that Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard isn’t a done deal yet. There are regulatory hurdles to clear, but Microsoft’s statement might help to assuage antitrust concerns.
