Japan Slaps More Sanctions On North Korea After Its Icbm - Class Missile Launch

Japan slaps more sanctions on North Korea after its ICBM-class missile launch

The Japanese government has expanded its sanctions against North Korea in response to the North's launch of an ICBM-class missile on March 24.

The additional sanctions were approved at a Cabinet meeting on Friday.

Six North Koreans, three Russians and four Russian entities that are believed to be involved in Pyongyang's nuclear and missile development, will see their assets frozen.

With the latest step, Japan's sanctions list contains 120 individuals and 129 entities.

The nine persons and four entities have already had their assets frozen by the US government. Tokyo is apparently acting in tandem with Washington.
