She said malicious activities in cyberspace also pose serious threats.

Kamikawa said this requires Japan to tighten security, as the Tokyo Games are approaching.

She told the heads of regional intelligence bureaus and other officials to work closely with the relevant organizations in Japan and overseas to gather and analyze information.
