Former NMB48's Suto Ririka has announced that she will be retiring from showbiz at the end of the month. 

Suto had been continuing her entertainment activities while aiming to become a philosopher. According to a person affiliated with her agency, she had asked to retire last spring, and since then, there had been many discussions about her future path. Finally, it was decided that she would be retiring according to her will. Although there are programs scheduled to air in February that she's already done recording for, her activities will officially end this month.

It's been announced that former Morning Musume member Mitsui Aika's contract with agency J.P ROOM has ended. As such, she will be retiring from showbiz. 

Mitsui graduated from Morning Musume back in May of 2012, then had been studying abroad in New Zealand from January of 2014. She had continued her activities in showbiz like participating in Hello! Project's concert 'Hello! Project COUNTDOWN PARTY 2015 ~ GOOD BYE & HELLO ! ~' as an OG member of Morning Musume. However, she wanted to "graduate from showbiz and pursue the path of cooking."

Yumemi Nemu to graduate from, retire from showbiz will hold a live concert, titled ' Cosmo Tour 2019 in Nippon Budokan,' on January 6 and 7 at Nippon Budokan. It's been announced that member Yumemi Nemu will graduate from the group after these concerts. 

After graduation, Yumemi plans to retire from showbiz as well. She will be celebrating ten years in showbiz this November, and when she thought about her future, she wanted to take a step forward in a new area taking what she learned from her experiences. Upon retirement, she will produce an original character called "Tanukyun" based on her color mint green. She will also work towards opening a bookstore.

On September 28, J.P ROOM Inc. sent out a fax to media outlets announcing that Yoshizawa Hitomi has retired from showbiz. 

Following her hit and run incident on September 6, Yoshizawa was indicted the other day for injuring two people in a hit and run incident while driving under the influence. The fax included a statement from Yoshizawa, saying, "While facing myself, I became aware of my weakness and immaturity. What I did is something that will never be forgiven. Above all, I sincerely apologize to those I've hurt."

She continued, "From now on, I will atone for the crime I've committed and move forward as a member of society and a mother, so that I will not be ashamed of my behavior. In addition, I will retire from showbiz, which I have been a part of for the past 18 years."

Since October, Fujii had been taking a break from performing due to a cervical herniated disc.
