Nintendo Unveils Disney-Themed Nintendo Switch Console

If you’re thinking about getting your hands on the Nintendo Switch console, you might be interested to learn that the company has recently taken the wraps off what appears to be a Disney-themed Switch console, where one of the cute and defining points of the console are the tiny set of Mickey ears placed around the start button.

As expected given that this is a Disney themed console, there will be a Disney game bundled with it. In this case, it will come with the Disney Tsum Tsum Festival game and its DLC, along with the console in which the dock and the Joy-Cons have been given a Disney makeover. While fevered anticipation for the 2020 Supra continues apace, there's been a lot of chatter and rumors surrounding what's next for the 86, Toyota's existing sports coupe and the twin sibling of the Subaru BRZ. Now, the company has announced an international racing-themed special edition called the Hakone Edition.

It's named for the Hakone Turnpike, a privately owned toll road in the mountains two hours southwest of Tokyo that is a favorite of enthusiasts and automobile reviewers. It's based off the 86 GT grade, the sports car's mid-level trim, and it comes swathed in a striking Hakone green exterior paint that evokes the dark highland green of the Ford Mustang Bullitt and is punctuated by bronze on the 17-inch twisted-spoke wheels. There's also a black spoiler.

Marvel’s Spider-Man, the PlayStation 4 game developed by Insomniac Games, is receiving two new suits for our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. The suits are based on Fantastic Four, another one of Marvel’s comic book superheroes, in fact, it’s first modern superhero cohort. While the Fantastic Four has taken a backseat to more popular Marvel characters in the cinematic universe, the comic giant is bringing themed suits to Spider-Man based on Peter Parker’s appearances in Fantastic Four comic issues.

Marvel and Insomniac today announced the addition of two new costumes for Spider-Man in the PlayStation 4 title. They’re part of the patch version 1.14 that’s available for download today. The first is the Bombastic Bag Man Suit. It gives Spider-Man the trademark Fantastic Four blue costume with a paper bag to hide his true identity.

You can find a few quirky hotels in Japan. If a robot-staffed hotel isn’t up to your liking, perhaps you’d be interested in rooms that are decked out in Kingdom Hearts themes. If that appeals to you then you’ll be interested to know that Kingdom Heart themed rooms will be opening up in the Disney Ambassador Hotel at the Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan this March.

These rooms will be limited to three adults and will feature two regular sized beds and one trundle bed. Prices start from over 46,000 yen or $400 per night. True to form, the door can be opened with a key that looks like a Keyblade.

To help shed some light, a group of university students in Tokyo held a film festival, putting Korea at center stage.

18 films were shown at the weeklong festival organized by students at Nihon University College of Art.
One depicts a North Korean resettlement program that led about 100,000 Koreans to leave Japan for the North.
The decades-old program referred to Pyongyang as "paradise on earth."

This will see the Switch console get a brown and yellow colored Joy-Con controllers, along with Pikachu and Eevee decals painted onto the side of the dock, and various silhouettes of Pokemon on the back of the console. We have to say that it looks pretty good and it will also come with download codes where players can choose to either download the Pikachu or Eevee version of the game.

The other day Capcom announced that Monster Hunter-themed costumes would be coming to Street Fighter as part of the celebration of the launch of Monster Hunter: World. Now it looks like the opposite is happening, where it looks like Street Fighter characters will be coming to Monster Hunter: World.

In an announcement by Capcom, it looks like two of Street Fighter's more popular/recognizable characters Ryu and Sakura will be making their way into Monster Hunter: World. However we should note that these are basically armor sets that when fully equipped will make characters look like either Ryu or Sakura, and can be worn by either male or female hunters with appropriate voice acting to match Ryu or Sakura.

If you love the Monster Hunter franchise and also Street Fighter, you will be pleased to learn that to celebrate the launch of Monster Hunter: World, Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter-themed costumes will be making its way into Street Fighter 5, although it seems that it won't be as straightforward as buying it outright.

Instead it seems that Capcom is making it a challenge to get them, which we guess can also double up as bragging rights. According to Capcom, "Every month, there will be at least one unique costume like a Crossover Costume up for grabs, which can only be obtained by playing Extra Battle Mode with Fight Money."
