Mitsubishi Headed Back To Rebelle Rally With New Outlander, Retro Wrap

Mitsubishi headed back to Rebelle Rally with new Outlander, retro wrap

Just like Ford, Mitsubishi will again compete in the 2021 Rebelle Rally. This year, the competition car will be the redesigned 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander. However, it takes its color scheme from a far older Mitsubishi racing vehicle – one that's a perfect tribute for the all-women Rebelle Rally.

The Outlander's flashy red, gold and black wrap is inspired by a 2001 Mitsubishi Pajero entered in that year's Paris-Dakar Rally. The Pajero won thanks to driver Jutta Kleinschmidt, the first (and so far only) woman ever to win the grueling off-road endurance race. So creating a tribute of her Pajero for an all-women off-road rally seems like a superb way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her victory.

2022 Porsche Taycan Gets Android Auto, Remote Parking

2022 Porsche Taycan gets Android Auto, remote parking

Porsche announced late Tuesday that its Taycan electric sedan is getting a couple of quality-of-life improvements, some minor under-"hood" tweaks, and a collection of new paint finish options for the 2022 model year.

The headliner here (which should tell you quite a bit) is the addition of Android Auto compatibility for the Taycan's infotainment center. Previously, only Apple CarPlay was supported. The only other significant feature update is the addition of remote park assist as an optional add-on.

2022 Infiniti Qx80 Gets An Interior Update With New, Big Touchscreen

2022 Infiniti QX80 gets an interior update with new, big touchscreen

The 2022 Infiniti QX80 is getting a light interior update in the form of a new touchscreen infotainment system and center stack. If you've seen the 2021 Nissan Armada's refreshed interior, then you've seen the new QX80's, because they share the same center stack and touchscreen now.

This new infotainment system runs on a 12.3-inch high-res screen that sits perched at the top. It's capable of wireless Apple CarPlay, but only wired Android Auto. Infiniti says navigation comes standard, too. We liked the new touchscreen in the Armada far more than its outgoing unit, which was ancient technology by the time it was replaced. This new screen is vibrant, features much quicker responses to inputs and is all around a massive step up in tech.

2021 Toyota Camry Review | What's New, Pictures, Hybrid And Awd Fuel Economy

2021 Toyota Camry Review | What's new, pictures, hybrid and AWD fuel economy

The 2021 Toyota Camry is not the drab beige appliance you might remember. This generation set a unique tone from the very beginning with its significantly enhanced driver involvement, interior quality and overall style. Toyota has steadily been updating it, too. Last year Toyota added an all-wheel drive option as well as a high-performance Camry TRD, which is also the most affordable way to get a Camry with a V6. This year brings updated infotainment and safety features, plus the expansion of the XSE trim level to the Hybrid (Good news! It's our pick of the engine bunch!).

Despite being fundamentally different than the Camrys that came before, the 2021 should still satisfy the sensible buying criteria that's made it a best-seller for so long: strong reliability, good resale value and high safety ratings. So, while much has changed, much has also stayed the same. That's a good thing, and even if the Honda Accord is broadly more appealing, the Hyundai Sonata more distinctive and Mazda6 more fun to drive, the diverse, well-rounded Camry lineup is a must-consider.

Subaru Forester Wilderness Teased Again, Gets September 2 Release Date

Subaru Forester Wilderness teased again, gets September 2 release date

Subaru has released a few more fleeting glimpses of the new Forester Wilderness across their social media channels. They've also given us a reveal date on when we can expect the Forester's more rugged brother: September 2.

For the record, Subaru is still only coyly referring to it as the next Wilderness model, even though we know full well it's going to be the Forester. If the spy shots, original teaser and the EPA's subsequent leak weren't enough, Subaru's own teaser released this morning clearly shows the taillight and rear profile of a Forester. If you squint, you can even make out the word "Forester" along the side skirt in the Wilderness's signature copper highlight color.

2023 Nissan Z Sport And Performance Trim Breakdown

2023 Nissan Z Sport and Performance trim breakdown

The 2023 Nissan Z is shaping up to be a compelling sports car value. We learned yesterday that the Z will start at about $40,000, placing it right between the Subaru BRZ and the Toyota Supra 3.0, but offering more power than both. Nissan is also streamlining the trims for 2023, narrowing it down to just two: Sport and Performance. Here's what you can expect from each.

No matter which trim you choose, you'll be getting what's important — the 400-horsepower, twin-turbo V6 that's at the heart of the new Z. This is fantastic news, as Toyota saddles the base Supra with a four-cylinder that we found somewhat lacking, and it's still $4,000 more than the base Z (to get the full six cylinders, you'll have to fork over at least $12,000 more).

2021 Toyota Supra 2.0 Road Test Review | Four Is Not Equal To Six

2021 Toyota Supra 2.0 Road Test Review | Four is not equal to six

It seems virtually every new car is offered with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine these days. Including, starting with the 2021 model year, the new base version of the Toyota Supra. It's impressive how much power and efficiency automakers have wrung out of a soda bottle's worth of displacement, but not all of these small-but-mighty powerplants fulfill their missions with the same level of success. Including, again, the base version of the Toyota Supra.

By now, you're probably aware that the reborn Supra relies heavily on parts and engineering sourced from BMW. In many ways, this is not a bad thing — BMW clearly knows how to screw together a solid automobile. The Supra shares most of its oily bits with the BMW Z4, including its inline-four- and six-cylinder engines and eight-speed automatic transmissions. This version of the ubiquitous 2.0-liter turbo produces 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, which is plenty to provide accelerative entertainment in a small car like the Supra. Toyota claims it'll do 0-60 in about 5 seconds.

2023 Nissan Z Will Start Around $40,000, Says Nissan

2023 Nissan Z will start around $40,000, says Nissan

The biggest piece of the 2023 Nissan Z puzzle that we didn't have last night just fell into place: pricing.

Nissan's Dan Passe, director of product communications, just tweeted out the number. "Will start around $40k for the Sport model," Passe says.
