Subaru Forester Wilderness Epa Mileage Revealed, Thus Revealing The Forester Wilderness

Subaru Forester Wilderness EPA mileage revealed, thus revealing the Forester Wilderness

Subaru has been teasing the second model to wear its new Wilderness badge, but has been coy about which model that would be. We had a very strong hunch that it was the Forester, and now that hunch has been confirmed by the EPA.

The Environmental Protection Agency is in charge of testing cars against the same standard to get those mileage ratings you see on a window sticker at the dealer. But in publishing figures for the 2022 Forester, they accidentally revealed that the tall wagon would come in regular flavor and a Wilderness sub-model. The entry was discovered by Motor Trend, and shows that the Forester Wilderness will get 25 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, for a combined rating of 26 mpg.

Lego Unveils A Full - Size Toyota Supra Replica In Japan

Lego unveils a full-size Toyota Supra replica in Japan

By now, you're probably well aware that just about any shape, no matter how complicated or curvy, can be replicated with Lego bricks, assuming its builders have enough time, access to the correct building blocks and, of course, skill to complete the build. The latest proof point is the bright yellow Toyota Supra you see above, parked next to a near replica assembled from Lego bricks. The real car is a 35th Anniversary Special Edition that just debuted for the Japanese market. The replica is officially called (not so imaginatively) "Lego Toyota GR Supra full-scale replica." Maybe that sounds cooler in Japanese.

Uber - And Toyota - Backed Joby Surges In Ipo On Promise Of Air Taxis

Uber- and Toyota-backed Joby surges in IPO on promise of air taxis

Joby Aviation, which promises to build and operate a commercial fleet of aerial taxis by 2024, began trading Wednesday, testing the imaginations of public investors. The shares surged more than 12% during the first hour of trading.

Since its founding in 2009, Joby has sold the likes of Uber Technologies Inc. and Toyota Motor Corp. on its plan to build a new kind of passenger drone and has raised more than $700 million in private capital. A merger this week with a special purpose acquisition company leaves Joby with more than double that amount on its balance sheet.

Acura Gives Us A Lightning - Quick Glimpse At The Nsx Type S

Acura gives us a lightning-quick glimpse at the NSX Type S

Acura released a short preview film to give fans a fast-paced look at the limited-edition NSX Type S. Scheduled to break cover tomorrow, August 12, it's being boldly presented as the final evolution of the second-generation model.

The eight-second flick posted on various social media channels provides us with a peek at the Type S' front end. It shows two cars speeding towards the camera down what looks like a race track's main straight. Acura wants to keep the Type S under wraps until its big debut, so the footage gets blurry as the cars speed by; that's why it's called a teaser. We nonetheless think we can squint and discern a redesigned front end with larger air intakes.

2021 Hyundai Elantra Review | What's new, price, safety, hybrid MPG

While appealing to the enthusiast and green crowds may bolster the Elantra's appeal with those niche audiences, Hyundai is aiming for the mass market with new features such as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an updated suite of safety and automated driver assistance technology, and everyday comfort and efficiency.

This Infiniti G35 Coupe Wears A Nissan GT-R Face Quite Nicely

What we know as the Infiniti G35 Coupe in the U.S. was sold as the Nissan Skyline V35 Coupe in other markets. The loose connection with the Skyline GT-R probably gave this owner the idea to combine design elements of two Japanese sportscars into one. The result is this G35 that’s wearing the front panels from a GT-R R35.

Bmw Recalls Toyota Supra For Potential Loss Of Power Brake Assistance

BMW recalls Toyota Supra for potential loss of power brake assistance

We've seen this odd circumstance previously, but it's happening yet again. BMW just issued a recall notice for the Toyota Supra. At this point, you probably know why this is happening. The new Supra is largely a BMW Z4 underneath, and it's even made by Magna Steyr, not Toyota. Due to these circumstances, BMW North America is the one who officially issues recall notices for the new Supra.

This time around, BMW is recalling 13,014 Toyota Supras from the 2020-2021 model years due to a potential loss of braking assist power. It's not just the Supra being recalled, though. BMW is also recalling some of its models: 2020 BMW M340i, 2020 BMW 540i, 2020 BMW X3 M40i, 2020-2021 BMW X4 M40i, 2020-2021 BMW 745Le, 2019-2021 BMW Z4 M40i. Including the Supras and all the BMWs, this recall encompasses 50,024 cars. All of them will come in for the same issue.

Toyota Reportedly Cancels Its Street - Legal Le Mans - Inspired Hypercar

Toyota reportedly cancels its street-legal Le Mans-inspired hypercar

Toyota has placed its first street-legal hypercar on the back burner, according to a recent report, after a fire destroyed a prototype during testing. But the race variant isn't in danger.

Although official details about the Japanese carmaker's hypercar program are few and far between, Racer learned the street-legal version of the GR010 (pictured) unveiled earlier in 2021 was canceled because of what's described as a "serious incident" that took place on the Fuji Speedway. One of the pre-production cars Toyota was testing was badly damaged by a fire, according to the publication. The source of the blaze remains unknown outside of Toyota.

2022 Nissan Frontier First Drive Review | Return From The Wilderness

2022 Nissan Frontier First Drive Review | Return from the wilderness

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Nissan should make a new midsize truck more often. Turns out, the company is good at it. Waiting 17 years for a new Frontier is a rather unforgivable period of time — yes, the last time we had a new Frontier was in 2004. However, that doesn't take anything away from the new 2022 Nissan Frontier, because it's a damn good pickup.

How good, you ask? After a first go-round behind the wheel, it's safe to say the new Frontier is officially on a level playing field with every other midsize pickup, and it's reaching for a podium spot.

2022 Toyota Tundra Trd Pro Shows Off Suspension, Rear Coil Springs

2022 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro shows off suspension, rear coil springs

While spy shots provided this revelation awhile back, Toyota has finally confirmed with the above teaser images that the 2022 Tundra is getting coil-spring rear suspension. The full-size pickup's shift to the new suspension is part of a trend that's gaining traction, with the Ram 1500 in its second generation with rear coils, and the F-150 Raptor doing the same with its newest generation.

While the coil-spring rear suspension is the biggest news, the teasers also show us some of the other off-road upgrades that will appear on the TRD Pro version of the Tundra. They're basically the same things you get on the current truck. At the front, there's a TRD-branded skid plate. There also appears to be a new anti-roll bar at the front. At all four corners are Fox off-road shocks with matching springs.
