Deer at the shrine are said to be messengers of gods, and are carefully taken care of. Births of new deer peak around this time. Two fawns were born this year, on June 6 and 9.

A city in western Japan says a lost USB memory stick containing personal data of more than 460,000 residents has been found by the person who had mislaid it.

Amagasaki City in Hyogo Prefecture said on Friday that the device was discovered one day after it said the USB was lost.

An unidentified liquid was found spread on the floor of a train in Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo, on Friday morning. A preliminary test found no toxin in the liquid. But two passengers complained of sickness and are being treated at a hospital.

Firefighters received a report at around 6:15 a.m. complaining of a rotten smell on the train. It was running from Kashiwa Station in Chiba Prefecture to Omiya Station in Saitama Prefecture on the Tobu Noda Line or TOBU URBAN PARK Line.

Investigators report that an unidentified liquid was sprinkled in a train in Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo. They say the liquid smelled like vinegar and did not look dangerous.

Firefighters were informed at around 6:15 a.m. on Friday that liquid had been sprinkled in a local train. The train was running from Kashiwa Station in Chiba Prefecture to Omiya Station in Saitama Prefecture on the Tobu Noda Line or TOBU URBAN PARK Line.

A Japanese startup has announced the launch of a line of low-cost electric trucks. The firm says it is keeping the price tag down by outsourcing assembly work.

Folofly says its new EV truck can carry a load of one ton and run about 300 kilometers on a single charge. The company plans to deliver around 10,000 units to a major Japanese logistics firm.
