Cameras Used To Search Sunken Tour Boat Off Hokkaido

Rescue workers are using remote cameras to search inside a sightseeing boat that sank off the northern Japanese prefecture of Hokkaido.
The "KAZU I" went missing off the Shiretoko Peninsula during a cruise on April 23. Weather officials say waves were 3 meters high in the area when the vessel disappeared.
The boat was carrying 24 passengers and two crew members. Fourteen passengers have been found but all were confirmed dead. Search operations to locate the other 12 are continuing.
The boat was found on the seabed about 1 kilometer from the shore on Friday. At about 120 meters below sea level, it lies too deep for Coast Guard divers to reach.
Coast Guard and Maritime Self-Defense Force officials are trying to search the inside of the boat with underwater cameras to see if anyone was trapped inside.
Local fishing boats and tour boats are continuing to help with the search.
