Cases In Tokyo Post Week - On - Week Rise For 2 Days
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government says it confirmed 236 new cases of the coronavirus on Monday.
The number is up 27 from a week ago. The week-on-week figure has posted an increase for two straight days.
The seven-day average number of cases through Monday stands at 391.9.
That's 103 percent of the figure a week ago. This number has also risen for two days in a row.
Metropolitan officials say 47 people are in serious condition, up two from Sunday.
