Four Candidates Projected To Win In Osaka

The NHK decision desk is projecting that all four incumbents in the Osaka district will retain their seats.
Asada Hitoshi and Takagi Kaori of Japan Innovation Party, the LDP's Matsukawa Rui and Komeito's Ishikawa Hirotaka, all appear headed for a win.
Asada Hitoshi was a member of the Osaka Prefectural Assembly for nearly 20 years. A win would hand him a second term.
Takagi Kaori became a member of the city council after working for a bank. She won her seat in the Upper House election in 2016.
Matsukawa Rui worked for Japan's Foreign Ministry for over 20 years. She began her political career in 2016 when she won election to the Upper House.
Ishikawa Hirotaka is expected to win a third term. He worked for Japan's Foreign Ministry for more than a decade.
