Health Ministry Confirms 2,922 Coronavirus Cases In Tokyo On Sunday

Japan's heath ministry says it confirmed 2,922 new cases of the coronavirus in Tokyo on Sunday.

The daily tally was down almost 2,700 from a week ago.

The ministry also said 13 deaths were confirmed in the capital.

Nationwide, the ministry confirmed 29,492 new cases and 71 deaths.

The number of seriously ill patients on ventilators or ECMO heart-lung machines decreased by three from Saturday to 162 across the country, 13 of whom were in Tokyo.
