Japan Confirms 2,673 New Cases Of Coronavirus
Japanese officials confirmed 2,673 new cases of the coronavirus as of 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Tokyo reported the highest number of 633, followed by Kanagawa Prefecture with 390 new infections.
This brings the total number of cases in the country so far to 390,687, including 712 on a cruise ship.
Health officials also reported 65 deaths. That takes the overall death toll to 5,766, including 13 on the vessel.
Health ministry officials say 973 patients were in serious condition and were being treated in intensive care units or with ventilators as of Sunday.
