Japan Lowers Covid - 19 Alert Level For Travel Overseas

Japan's Foreign Ministry has lowered its coronavirus infection alert for travel to nearly 100 countries and territories. Currently, no parts of the world are under Level 3, which urges people to avoid all travel.
The ministry revised its four-level alert for countries and territories across the globe on Wednesday after studying their infection levels.
The ministry lowered the alert for 41 countries, such as Bulgaria and Kenya, from Level 3 to Level 2, which urges people to avoid non-essential travel to those destinations.
The ministry also brought down the alert for 55 countries and territories, including Indonesia and the Philippines, from Level 2 to Level 1, which asks individuals to exercise caution when traveling to those areas.
With the latest revisions, Level 2 is currently in place for 76 countries and territories, while Level 1 is in effect for 125 areas.
