Japan Reports 2,368 New Coronavirus Cases

Japan confirmed 2,368 new coronavirus cases as of 6:20 p.m. on Friday.

This brings the total number of cases in the country so far to 402,369.

On Friday, officials also reported 84 deaths. That pushes the overall death toll to 6,273.

The health ministry said 877 patients with COVID-19 were in serious condition, and were being treated in intensive care units or with ventilators. That figure is down 15 from Thursday.
