Japan Unveils Emergency Grant For Getting Aid To Ukraine

Japan has unveiled an emergency grant of about 1.7 million dollars for the transportation of aid supplies to Ukraine.
The government made the decision on Friday amid growing calls for more humanitarian assistance due to Russia's invasion.
Medical supplies are reportedly running low in Ukraine because of factors such as transportation costs.
Japanese government officials say the aid will be transported through the United Nations Office for Project Services.
Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa said Japan will continue working with the global community to support people in Ukraine.
The International Organization for Migration estimates that more than 8 million people have been internally displaced because of the invasion.
