Kddi Mobile Services Disrupted Across Japan

Customers of one of Japan's main telecom companies have been experiencing disruptions to phone services for over twenty-four hours.
KDDI says it's aiming to restore the services by 9:30 Sunday morning.
Services that include phone and data communications have been disrupted since the early hours of Saturday.
The outage has affected people who use the mobile services of au, UQ mobile, and povo. Business services such as logistics have also been affected.
Rakuten Mobile also says its customers are having problems in areas where the firm uses KDDI's networks.
Japan's Fire and Disaster Management Agency is urging people to use other carriers, or fixed-line phones for emergency calls, or go directly to the nearest fire station.
The Meteorological Agency says the distribution of weather data is also being affected. But it says so far, there have been no disruptions of forecasts for the path of a typhoon approaching southern islands.
