Kddi To Consider Compensation For Users After Network Disruption

Major Japanese mobile communications provider KDDI says it will consider compensation for individual and business users after assessing the impact of a nationwide network disruption.
KDDI officials said at a news conference on Tuesday that its customer service center had logged more than 96,700 complaints and inquiries as of 1 p.m.
The problems began at 1:35 a.m. on Saturday. Company officials said service operations were fully resumed as of 3:36 p.m. on Tuesday.
They said the 86-hour disruption to the network may have affected as many as 39.15 million users.
