Mobile Network Partially Disrupted

Mobile phone carrier NTT Docomo says its service remained limited in some parts of Tochigi, Miyagi, and Fukushima prefectures as of 1:00 a.m. Sunday, due to blackouts and damage to facilities.

Other mobile carriers -- KDDI, Softbank, and Rakuten Mobile -- say they have found no damage from the earthquake to their telecom facilities.

NTT East says its landline services have not been affected by the quake.
