Osaka Reports Record - High 918 New Virus Cases

Osaka reported 918 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, a record high for the western Japanese prefecture.
The daily tally has surpassed 900 for the second time, following Thursday, when 905 new infections were reported.
The number of people who have tested positive for the virus in Osaka since the pandemic began now stands at 59,332.
Seven people were confirmed dead on Saturday, bringing the overall death toll in the prefecture to 1,211.
