Panda At Wakayama Zoo Gets Father's Day Gift

A giant panda who has fathered 16 cubs was given a Father's Day gift at a zoo in western Japan on Sunday.
The celebration for Eimei was held at Adventure World in Shirahama Town, Wakayama Prefecture.
Eimei was given five kinds of bamboo, his favorite food.
He slowly approached the present and ate the bamboo, which was arranged in the shape of his face and the words for "thank you."
The giant panda is 28 years old, the equivalent of a man in his 80s.
He is the world's oldest panda in captivity to have fathered a cub by natural mating. His youngest, Fuhin, was born last November.
Zookeeper Miyashita Toru said Eimei likes gourmet food, so the staff prepared different types of bamboo to show their gratitude.
