Pm Kishida To Visit Southeast Asia, Europe From Friday

Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio will visit five countries in Southeast Asia and Europe in an eight-day tour starting Friday.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Matsuno Hirokazu announced the prime minister's visit on Thursday.
Kishida will visit Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Italy and Britain and hold talks with the leader of each country, before returning to Japan on May 6.
Matsuno said the prime minister plans to discuss a broad range of topics with the leaders, including regional and global situations and bilateral relations.
He said Kishida will work to promote further cooperation with each country to realize a free and open Indo-Pacific.
The chief cabinet secretary went on to say that regional and global issues to be discussed will include the war in Ukraine and the situations in the East and South China seas, North Korea and Myanmar.
