Rainy Season Ends In Tokyo, Other Areas

The Japan Meteorological Agency on Monday announced the apparent end of the rainy season in the Kantokoshin and Tokai regions, and in southern Kyushu.
If confirmed, this would be the earliest end to the rainy season in the Kantokoshin region, which includes Tokyo, since statistics began being kept in 1951. The current record was set four years ago on June 29, 2018.
The announcement for the Kantokoshin region came 22 days earlier than average and 19 days sooner than last year.
It came 22 days earlier than average and 20 days sooner than last year for central Japan's Tokai region. For southern Kyushu, it came 18 days earlier than average and 14 days sooner than last year.
