Sdf Aircraft Carrying Supplies For Ukrainians Arrives In Poland

A Japanese Self-Defense Forces aircraft carrying aid supplies for Ukrainian evacuees has arrived in Poland.
The SDF C-2 transporter landed at an airport in the southeastern city of Rzeszow on Tuesday afternoon local time.
Japanese government officials say the supplies will initially be stored in a warehouse in the airport, before being transported to a number of areas.
The government decided to transport relief supplies to countries hosting people fleeing the Russian invasion, in response to the request of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
The SDF transporter left Japan for the United Arab Emirates on Sunday to pick up blankets, tarps, solar-powered lanterns and other supplies stockpiled in a warehouse.
