Tokyo Confirms 175 New Infections On Monday

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government says it confirmed 175 new cases of the coronavirus on Monday.

This brings the total number of infections in the Japanese capital to 115,584.

The average number of new cases for the seven days through Monday was 287.6, or 113.5 percent of the average for the previous week.

Tokyo officials say 42 people are in serious condition, up one from Sunday.
