Tokyo Confirms 213 New Coronavirus Cases

The Tokyo Metropolitan government says it confirmed 213 new cases of the coronavirus on Wednesday.

The preliminary figure was released as of 3 p.m.

The daily tally in the capital has been under 500 for 18 straight days and under 300 for four days in a row.

The total number of cases there now stands at 110,400.

Officials say the number of people in serious condition is 69, down eight from Tuesday.
