Tokyo Confirms More Than 200 New Infections

Tokyo Governor Koike Yuriko reported 201 new cases of coronavirus infection in the city on Friday.

It's the first time the daily figure has topped 200. The total number of infections in Tokyo now stands at 2,796.

Koike told reporters that the situation remains extremely tense in the Japanese capital.
