Tokyo Reports 12,413 New Covid - 19 Infections On Friday

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government reported 12,413 new cases of coronavirus infection on Friday.

The number is down more than 6,000 from a week earlier. The daily tally in the capital has now fallen week-on-week for 12 straight days.

Tokyo officials said 30 people died from the virus.

The officials also said Tokyo's number of patients on ventilators or ECMO heart-lung machines stood at 34, unchanged from the previous day.
