Tokyo Reports 279 Coronavirus Cases On Thursday

Tokyo Metropolitan Government officials say 279 new cases of the coronavirus were confirmed in the capital on Thursday.

This brings the total number of people who have tested positive in Tokyo since the pandemic began to 112,624.

Officials say 51 coronavirus patients are in serious condition, one fewer than on Wednesday.
