Tokyo Reports 323 New Cases On Thursday

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government reported 323 new cases of the coronavirus in the Japanese capital on Thursday.

The daily average for the seven days to Thursday came to 297.1, up 8.8 percent from the preceding week.

The total number of people who have tested positive in Tokyo since the pandemic began now stands at 116,616.

Tokyo officials say 44 people are in serious condition, three more than on Wednesday.
