Tokyo Reports 355 New Cases Of Coronavirus

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government says it confirmed 355 new cases of the coronavirus on Sunday.

The figure was up 42 from a week earlier.

The seven-day average of daily new cases in Tokyo through Sunday is 389.7, up 11 percent from a week ago.

For the 23rd day in a row, the average has exceeded that of the preceding week, clearly indicating that infections are again on the rise.

The total number of infections in the capital now stands at 122,702.
