Tokyo Reports 386 New Cases Of Coronavirus

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government says it confirmed 386 new cases of the coronavirus in the capital on Sunday.

The figure is up 10 from last Sunday, marking a week-on-week increase for the eighth consecutive day.

The seven-day average through Sunday stands at 477.4. That is 23 percent higher than the figure a week ago.

The total number of confirmed infections in Tokyo now stands at 172,427.
