Tokyo Reports 673 New Coronavirus Cases

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government says it confirmed 673 new cases of the coronavirus on Thursday.

The figure is up 103 from last Thursday, marking a week-on-week increase for a twelfth straight day.

Tokyo officials also say the capital had 51 patients with serious symptoms on Thursday, up four from the previous day.

The number topped 50 for the first time since June 11.
