Tokyo Reports 769 New Coronavirus Cases

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government confirmed 769 new cases of the coronavirus in the Japanese capital on Saturday.

The daily tally has fallen below 1,000 for two days in a row.

The total number of people who have tested positive in Tokyo now stands at 99,208.

Officials say 141 patients are in serious condition. That is six less than the previous day.
